DFAS The Hague Season Opener at the Residence of the British Ambassador
Tuesday 06 October 2015
Early in October on a mild, but humid, evening a large number of our members made their way to the Residence in The Hague of our Patron, H. E. the British Ambassador Sir Geoffrey Adams and of Lady Adams to celebrate our 25 years jubilee.
The ambassador and his spouse had most graciously agreed to host the event and greeted us all in a most welcoming manner. After which Peter Medhurst, our excellent NADFAS lecturer, transported us back to the 18th century to the most fashionable of the pleasure gardens of London at the time, The Vauxhall Gardens.
Those many impressions and maybe too much fresh air made us tired and even if we would have liked to linger longer our lecturer decided it was time to travel back to the Residence for a refreshing drink and some delicious finger food.
